  • Equipments: All camping equipment provided, such as tents, toilet tents, sleeping bags, walking sticks, rain ponchos, and tent lights.

  • Transportation: Transfer facilities provided from Srinagar to Aru and return to Srinagar.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Proper hiking boots with ankle support.
  • Lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing.
  • Warm layers, water bottle, and personal utensils.
  • Waterproof and windproof jacket/pants.
  • Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm.
  • Insect repellent, headlamp/flashlight, trekking poles.

 

Health Requirements:

  • Healthy resting pulse rate (60-90 bpm).
  • Ideal blood pressure at rest (75-85 diastolic, 100-130 systolic).
  • Normal respiratory rate at rest (12-20 breaths per minute).
  • Absence of certain medical conditions (Diabetes, Asthma, Epilepsy, Heart Problems, High Blood Pressure, etc.).
  • No issues with liver or kidney function.
  • Preferably no pacemaker implant.

Trek Itinerary

  • The journey commences with an afternoon meetup at the Srinagar office. Embark on a picturesque drive from Srinagar to Aru Pahalgam, covering a distance of 108 km. Aru welcomes you with its mesmerizing beauty, refreshing environs, and hospitable people.

  • The trek kicks off from Aru, involving an 11 km gentle ascent towards Lidderwat. Lidderwat, adorned with a beautiful meadow and two gushing rivers, serves as the camping site for the night.

  • Ascend towards Sikwas (7 km) and explore the pristine Zadsar Lake, situated 2 km from Sikwas. Return to the base at Sikwas for an overnight stay.

  • Embark on a trek from Sikwas to Tarsar Lake, covering a distance of 5 km and reaching an elevation of 3760 meters. The pristine alpine lake becomes the serene campsite for the night.

  • Trek to Sundarsar Lake (7 km) from Tarsar Lake and explore the nearby Marsar Lake, located 1 km from Sundarsar. Return to stay the night amidst the captivating surroundings.

  • Descend back to Lidderwat, covering a distance of 11-12 km. As night falls, gaze at the starry sky, delving into the mysteries of the universe.

  • Head back to Aru Pahalgam, covering a distance of 11 km, and subsequently drive back to Srinagar, marking the end of this immersive trekking adventure.
